Trained as an accountant Stephen’s career has expanded to include making a difference beyond the management of numbers. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Managers Institute (CMgr FCMI), a Fellow of the Institute of School Business Leaders (FISBL), a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Arts (FRSA) and a Member of the Institute of Directors (MIoD). Stephen is also a Professional Associate of the Chartered College of Teaching, and has recently been accredited as a Schools Efficiency Advisor for the DfE. He has an MBA (with Distinction) with a thesis focussing on improving the quality of management in education.
He writes regularly for a number of sector magazines/blogs, as well as delivering seminars/workshops across the country, and has his first book published later in 2018.
Stephen currently works for a Multi-Academy Trust in the Midlands as Chief Operating Officer, working across three counties, and 12 schools.
His passion for organisational culture and capacity building has seen him accredited as a trainer for the UN, EU, World Bank, and the UK Government, having delivered award winning capacity building projects in 16 countries around the world.
He is also a Non Executive Director and Trustee for a number of different organisations
